Childhood Dreams Do Come True!
I’m the author of two books—Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail: Southern California (2017, Mountaineers Books) and another, soon to be announced, that will come out in fall 2027.
Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail is a full-color guidebook that covers the southernmost 942.5 miles of the famed long-distance route. I spent a couple years hiking, re-hiking, and re-re-hiking those miles across as many seasons as possible to learn all of the little intricacies that might be especially useful to someone tackling the route in bits and pieces. The result is a book that covers such topics as trailhead logistics, backpacking basics, campsite details, trail town amenities, and water availability, along with an entertaining (and informational) mile-by-mile account of the route.
As for that second book? I recently wrapped three years of hiking, note-taking, photography, research, interviews, and writing on what is easily the most special and most ambitious creative project I’ve ever tackled. It’s pretty outside-the-box and kinda risky in some regards—but I think you’re gonna dig it. More soon!
